We take privacy seriously. This page explains what we collect, why, and the controls you have over your data.

This Privacy Policy describes how Stay Productive ("Stay Productive", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile applications on iOS and Android, our Progressive Web App, and our website at stayproductive.co (together, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Stay Productive provides a mobile-first wellness companion for planning, journaling, gratitude, affirmations, mood tracking, and goal setting. If you need to reach our privacy team, email [email protected].

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run and improve the Service. The categories below describe exactly what that means.

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account details: email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign in with Email, Google, or Apple ID.
  • Profile preferences: theme choice, notification preferences, language, and time zone.
  • User-generated content: journal entries, affirmations you save, vision board images, gratitude responses, goals, tasks, events, and wellness logs you add (water, sleep, steps, mood).
  • Support correspondence: any message you send us, including screenshots and diagnostic details you choose to share.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device & technical data: device model, operating system version, app version, language, crash logs, and approximate diagnostic information.
  • Usage data: aggregated and anonymized interactions such as which screens are opened, to help us understand feature adoption.
  • Purchase data: subscription status, receipt identifiers, and transaction metadata provided by Apple and Google (we do not receive your full payment-card details).

2.3 Information from third parties

  • Sign-in providers: Google and Apple share basic identifiers (email, name, user ID) when you choose to sign in with them.
  • App stores: Apple App Store and Google Play share subscription and purchase status with us via RevenueCat.
  • Authentication & storage provider: Supabase processes authentication and stores your data on our behalf.

3. What we do not collect

  • We do not collect precise location data.
  • We do not access your contacts, SMS, or phone call logs.
  • We do not access your device camera or microphone unless you explicitly start a feature that requires it (for example, uploading a photo to your vision board).
  • We do not read or analyze the content of your journal, gratitude, or affirmations for advertising or profile-building purposes.
  • We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and maintain your account.
  • Sync your content securely across your devices.
  • Deliver notifications and reminders you configure.
  • Provide the 3-day free trial and manage subscriptions through RevenueCat.
  • Diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
  • Respond to support requests and important service communications.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

5. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under GDPR / UK GDPR:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you signed up for, including sync and subscription management.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and improve usability, balanced against your privacy.
  • Consent — for optional features such as local notifications or uploading images.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

The website at stayproductive.co uses only strictly necessary cookies and local storage needed to render pages and remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

7. How we share information

We share information only with the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers — Supabase (authentication and database), RevenueCat (subscription management), Apple and Google (in-app purchases and authentication), cloud hosting and crash-reporting providers. These processors act under our instructions and are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users and the public.
  • Business transfers — if Stay Productive is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

We never sell personal information, and we do not share journal, gratitude, goal, affirmation, or vision-board content with advertisers.

8. International data transfers

Your data may be stored or processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and regions used by our cloud providers. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect your information during international transfers.

9. Data retention

  • Account data: retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
  • User content: stored until you delete the content or delete your account. Deletions are permanent and cannot be reversed.
  • Diagnostic logs: retained for up to 90 days and then deleted or anonymized.
  • Subscription records: retained as required by tax and accounting rules, typically 5-7 years.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage at rest through our cloud provider, principle of least privilege for employee access, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, so we also recommend you use a strong password and enable multi-factor authentication on your email account.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your account and associated content.
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Restriction or objection — ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
  • Complain — lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, go to Profile → Account in the app, or email [email protected]. We will respond within the time frame required by applicable law (generally within 30 days).

12. Children's privacy

Stay Productive is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the relevant threshold). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected information from a child without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it.

13. Subscriptions and payments

Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). Stay Productive does not receive your full card number. Subscription validation is performed through RevenueCat. 14. Notifications and permissions

When you enable reminders, we use local notifications scheduled on your device. You can revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings. Camera and photo library access are requested only when you use features that require them (for example, adding an image to the vision board).

15. Third-party links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
